The client

Chief Commercial Officer

The challenge

The client entered coaching committed to the organisation and her team, but feeling increasingly disconnected from her role. Despite being a high performer, she was experiencing frustration and impatience, comparing her career unfavourably to others and deriving little satisfaction from her achievements. These internal tensions were making her doubt herself, affecting her performance and beginning to undermine her leadership impact.

Coaching goals

  • Expand leadership impact across the organisation
  • Build strong, effective relationships at all levels
  • Strengthen self-leadership and confidence

Solution

The coaching engagement was sponsored by the organisation, with direct input from the CEO and CPO.

We ran a series of in-depth discovery sessions using the results of a recent 360 report commissioned by the business and feedback from the CEO and CPO to set the coaching goals. This was followed by two coaching sessions a month for eight months.

The coaching focused on aligning the client’s identity, presence and impact ensuring her personal confidence, relational effectiveness and leadership ability worked together to strengthen her personal fulfilment and performance.

Impact

  • The client secured her position as a credible, strategic contributor to organisational priorities including working with the CEO to secure investment
  • She initiated and lead cross-functional initiatives, including an organisational re-brand, to drive measurable business and cultural outcomes
  • She built trusted relationships across a network of stakeholders, including those with differing agendas or communication styles
  • She navigated conflict with patience, confidence and clarity, using it as a lever for growth
